H1N1 Update

We have updated information from the MDH regarding H1N1 symptoms that require school exclusion. The new definition is "fever together with cough and/or sore throat. MDH defines fever for this exclusion to be greater than or equal to 100 degrees farenheit." It is also suggested that students and staff that have nasal congestin and/or runny nose stay home for 24 hours to observe for any other symptoms.

Children and staff that have a fever of 100 or greater together with cough and/or sore throat are considered to have influenza like illness (ILI) and should stay home from work and school for 7 days or 24 hours after symptoms have resolved, whichever is longer.
